Gilbert Motz passed away peacefully on March 28, 2015 at age 86, with his wife Phyllis, at his side. Gilbert was born on July 6, 1928 in Rich Valley, Minnesota. He was formerly from West St. Paul and was currently residing in North Branch, Minnesota. Gilbert was a hard worker. He was a member of the Plasterer & Cement Mason, Local 633 for nearly 66 years. His career began with Bulach Construction and he retired from Jesco, Inc. Gilbert loved dancing, playing cards, fishing, hunting and gambling. He went to Las Vegas twice a year for 20 years. Gil also enjoyed canning tomatoes, beets and Bread & Butter pickles. He always had to keep busy. Gilbert is preceded in death by parents, Carl “Charley” and Ida (Groth); sister, Gladys; step-son, Dennis Larson. He will be remembered by his wife of nearly 30 years, Phyllis; children, Gilbert (Christine) of Maplewood, Donald (Barbara) of Inver Grove Heights and Pauline (Doc) Beaudette of Nevada; step-son, Duane Larson; 4 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; brother, Lambert; brother-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral at 2 PM on Saturday, April 4 at Anderson Funeral Home, 1401 Arcade St, St. Paul, with visitation one hour prior. Interment Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
