Obituary of Floyd J. Forsberg

Born in St. Paul, MN on Nov. 24, 1926. Died at the age of 88 on Sept. 21st after suffering a stroke. Floyd worked for the St. Paul Department of Public Works for 20 years and was the first director of the Solid Waste Division at the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency. He and his wife were active members of Osman Shriners. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Elizabeth. He is survived by 2 daughters, Jane (Douglas) Engebretson and Christine (Brian) Turnquist; 4 grandchildren, Peter Nelson, Thomas Nelson, Brianna Axelrod and Jonathan Turnquist; 7 great-grandchildren, Brennan, Lucas, Evan, Oliver, Lily, Mason, Lincoln and Owen. Memorial Service at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 28th at FIRST COVENANT CHURCH, 1280 Arcade St (Hwy 61), St. Paul, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment Union Cemetery. Memorials preferred to First Covenant Church.
