Obituary of Kresten D. Toft

Age 101, formerly of St. Paul’s Eastside, died peacefully on Monday, May 23rd, 2016 while residing at the Woodbury HealthCare Center. Preceded in death by wife, Marietta “Mickey”; parents, Jacob & Kathrine; sisters, Else, Kirstine, Kamma; and brothers, Peder, Hjalmer, and Frede. Survived by children, Rod (Judy) Toft, and Linda (Alan) Matthias; 6 grandchildren & 17 great grandchildren; many nieces & nephews, including special niece, Mona Toft. Chris emigrated from Denmark to America with his parents and siblings during November of 1929. He was a WWII veteran having served overseas, including Germany. He was a 65 year member of Carpenters Local Union #322. He retired to a life of fishing, bowling, singing, & his harmonica. A family memorial service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 4th, 2016 at Anderson Funeral Home, 1401 Arcade St (Hwy 61) in St. Paul. Visitation is one hour prior.
