Obituary of Ruben "Dale" Allen

Ruben Dale Allen, 83, passed on Oct. 23, 2016. Born on Nov. 23, 1932. Survived by the love of his life, Dorothy, and their two daughters and their families. Lori (Chip) and Emily, and Leanne (Dwight) and Brian. Dale worked many years at the Brainerd State Hospital caring for others. He also worked part-time at the Evangelical United Methodist Church in Brainerd as a custodian. He enjoyed fishing and reading. He had a deep faith that he loved to share given the opportunity. He was a proud member of the Evangelical United Methodist Church and later, Hope Baptist Church, both in Brainerd. He showed us all what true love means. A life well lived. He will be deeply missed. A heartfelt thank you to Shelly Devereaux, Patty Fitzgerald and all of the staff at 3E Southview Acres Health Care Center for the care they gave Dale. A private service will be held.
