Vernon M. Kelsey

Died Thursday, July 13, 2017, at the age of 83 after a hard fought battle with cancer. Vern was preceded in death by his parents, Allen & Sarah; his son, Dale; and several siblings. He is survived by his wife Janet; his sons, Paul (Mary), David, Troy, and Wayne (Patti); his brother, Walter (Viola); grandchildren, Paul Jr., Tony, Michael, Corrie, Taylor, Joseph, Dakota, and Olivia; 6 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.  Vern was born in Faribault, MN, and raised his family on the East Side of St. Paul where he worked for Whirlpool for many years, and then at the University of Minnesota.  He was a veteran of the United States Army.  Vern was a hard-working and selfless man who loved gardening and reading.  Funeral Service will be held 11:30 A.M. on Friday, July 21, 2017, at Anderson Funeral Home, 1401 Arcade Street (Hwy 61), Saint Paul, Minnesota. Visitation will begin 2 hours prior to the service. Interment will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Immediately following the burial, there will be a luncheon at the funeral home.
