Obituary of Dorothy M. Nygard

Dorothy Marie Nygard, of Saint Paul, passed away on Wednesday, March 4th, 2020 at the age of 96. Dorothy was born in Carlos, Minnesota on June 11, 1923. Her parents were Charles & Marie Anderson. She was very close to her sister, Edith. Dorothy became a teacher and taught in two one room homes. She married Maurice Nygard in 1948. They had three sons: David, Joel and James. God blessed Dorothy with five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Her faith in Jesus was her strength. She read the bible three times through. Her children have faith because of her. We will see Dorothy again – Praise God! Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice; and daughter-in-law, Theresa. Beloved mother of David (Karen), Joel, and James; 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Memorial Service is 11:00AM on Monday, March 9th, 2020 at First Covenant Church, 1280 Arcade Street (Hwy 61), Saint Paul with Visitation 1 hour prior to the service.
