Obituary of Aleene Lavantia Wistrom

Aleene Lavantia (Carver) Wistrom was born June 5, 1927 in Centralia, Washington to Esther Said and Charles Carver. She passed away on June 14, 2020 at the age of 93. She was married to Maurice Wistrom on February 14, 1947, they had no children. Aleene worked most of her life a 3M until her retirement. She loved collecting rocks and was editor of the Rock Club newsletter for many years. She enjoyed making jewelry from her rocks for all the family and working in her garden. Aleene is survived by her niece, Nancy (Gary) Sprinkle; her nephew, Randy (Toni) Risinger; five great-nieces & nephews, Brenda (Daryl) Peterson, Bradley (Teniel) Sprinkle, Randi Lynn Risinger, Josiah Risinger, Lucas (Jen) Risinger; seven great-grandnieces & nephews; four great-great-grandnieces & nephews; and her sister-in-law, Mary Ann Wistrom. She was preceded in death by her mother, Esther (Said) Elkin; and father, Charles Carver; her husband, Maurice Wistrom; and sister, Olivine Bedell. Visitation be will from 1:00 – 2:00pm on Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at Anderson Funeral Home, 1401 Arcade Street (Hwy 61), Saint Paul. Burial will follow at 2:30pm at Union Cemetery in Maplewood.
