Louis “Lou” “Louie” Sirian
8/22/1936 - 2/15/2025. Age 88 years old.
Preceded in death by wife of 40 years, Carmen Lee; daughter, Jeanne Marie Sirian. Survived by daughter, Carmen Lee “Carmie” and son, Louis Roman Sirian; sole grandchild, Vincent Sirian. Lou was born in St. Paul and was a lifelong Eastside Resident. Graduate of Johnson High School. Honorable Discharge from the United States Army as a Corporal Sergeant. Worked for the City of St. Paul’s Public Works Department. He also worked at St. Paul’s Water Department & was a heavy equipment operator for the city. Lou retired in 1985 from the City of St. Paul. Lou ventured into self-employment in the liquor & restaurant business in 1977. He bought “Lee’s Liquor Lounge” in Minneapolis in 1977 and operated Lee’s for 40 years until 2015. He bought “Lou’s Viaduct Inn” in 1980, owning until 1997. He bought “Joe & Stan’s Tavern” in 1985, owning until 1997. Lou was of proud Italian descent and catholic, and believed in hard work, goals, & determination. Lou will be deeply missed by his daughter, son, grandson, nieces and nephews, as well as many friends from the several businesses he owned. After retirement from Lee’s, Lou enjoyed watching Western TV shows, Wild Hockey, & spending time in his yard. Lou passed peacefully due to health complications. Lou will be buried at Calvary Catholic Cemetery at his family plot next to his wife, Carmen Lee. Visitation Wednesday, February 26, from 4-8PM at Anderson Funeral Home, 1401 Arcade Street, St. Paul. Mass of Christian Burial 10AM Thursday, February 27th, at The Church of St. Mary, 267 E 8th St, St Paul with visitation 1 hour prior to Mass. Flowers preferred, memorials to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
