Nancy Lou Mapson Obituary

Nancy Lou Mapson (née Christenson) passed away on March 19, 2025, in Maplewood, Minnesota, at the age of 91.


Nancy was born on June 14, 1933, in St. Paul, Minnesota. They were a longtime member of Arlington Hills Lutheran Church, where they found community and faith throughout their life.


A devoted fan of Minnesota sports, Nancy cheered passionately for the Minnesota Twins and the Minnesota Wild. She also enjoyed spending time gardening, building family photo albums, solving jigsaw puzzles and word puzzle books. Nancy was always eager for a new challenge. Mornings were often spent sharing coffee with friends, a cherished daily ritual that brought warmth and companionship.


Nancy was preceded in death by her loving husband, Glen Donald Mapson, and their son Mark Mapson. They are survived by Floyd Mapson, Carolyn Tank (Mapson), Mike Mapson, Diane Mapson, eight Grandchildren and ten Great-Grandchildren.


A private grave side service of the immediate family will take place on April 11, 2025 at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
