John Edward Lind

7/29/1931 – 3/26/2025

93 Years Old

Preceded in death by his wife Marian and son Steve; sister Gerry (Elmer), Ken (Bette), Art (Elaine), Bob (Virginia) and many other dear cousins, relatives, and friends.

Survived by son Ron (Barb); grandchildren Tim (Shannon), Katie (Nick), Kevin (Bailey); great-grandchildren Nash, Archer, and Luna.

John grew up in St. Paul, MN and was a life long East side resident until they moved to Woodbury MN. He was a proud graduate from Johnson High School. He served in the Army and came home to marry his sweetheart Marian on July 26, 1952.

He worked for the St. Paul company, Swanson Drug store and 55 Minute Photo. He volunteered for many programs throughout the community.

He retired to enjoy activities and his family. He had a huge passion for all sports, especially Johnson HS hockey and the HS hockey tournaments, only missing 3 his whole life!

He was active in his church and loved his church friends.

John spent the last 9 months in the Woodbury Senior Care Center. He passed away there peacefully due to failing health conditions. A Blessing he is in no more pain but will be missed dearly by all.

Visitation 4/3 from 4-7pm and funeral service on 4/4 at 10:30 with visitation prior 9:30-10:30am all at Arlington Hills Lutheran Church. Interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery to follow at 1:30pm.
