Age 82 of St. Paul's Eastside. Died Nov. 29th at his home, surrounded by family. Ron was born to Harold & Melba on May 15, 1943. He graduated from Johnson HS Class of ’61 and went on to attend the U of M Mortuary Science Program. Former owner of Anderson Funeral Home. Past President of Payne Arcade Business Assn. Past Master of Montgomery Masonic Lodge #258. Member of the East Side Lions. Played on the men’s senior volleyball team in Brazil and World Games in Australia. Four-time marathon finisher. Spent the last 12 years wintering in Mesa, AZ. He enjoyed time and travel with his family, everything volleyball, finding the best onion rings and, more recently, Gunsmoke reruns and snapchats of his grandkids. Ron is preceded in death by his daughter, Kris, brother, Tom, and brother-in-law, Jim Nichols. Survived by spouse of 40 years, Nancy; children, Kathy Kilbourne (Greg Peterka), Kyle (Kirsten), Kara (Mose Ouray); son-in-law, Doug Siekmann; grandkids, Milo and Adaline; siblings, Jerry (Connie), Carol Nichols, Jeff (Lynn); many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation 4-7 PM on Wednesday, Dec. 10th at Anderson Funeral Home, 1401 Arcade St, St. Paul, and one hour prior to the service at church. Memorial Service 11 AM on Thursday, Dec. 11th at Gustavus Adolphus Lutheran Church, 1669 Arcade St, St. Paul. Interment Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
