Gerald “Jerry” Siverson was born February 17th, 1939 in St. Paul MN.
Jerry was a Boy Scout at East Immanuel Lutheran Church and while growing up on the East Side he had a paper route for the Pioneer Press. Jerry graduated from Johnson High School in 1957 and from St. Olaf College in 1961. While in college he was in the ROTC and served in the Air Force Reserves during the Berlin Crisis. Jerry worked at Pioneer Power for 21 years until he retired in 2000.
Jerry is predeceased by his parents Lloyd and Cora Siverson. In 1971 he married Marlys (Sanders). They had three children together; Lars (Stepanie). Olaf (Anne) and Sonja Jacobsen (Tim). They had 6 grandsons; Aiden (Ellie), Nolan, Connor, Lucas, Owen and James; and one great grandson; Leland. Jerry is also survived by his sister Maxine Silvius.
Jerry enjoyed being at the cabin on Walker Lake, helping with Boy Scouts while his sons were younger and serving on church council at Gustavus Adolphus. Jerry loved his family and was very proud of his children and grandchildren.
Jerry passed away on December 4th after a long journey with Parkinson's.
A service will be held at a later date next year.
