Obituary of Evelyn "Sunny" Oachs

Evelyn (Sunny) Olga Oachs, age 92, was born May 26th, 1924 in Blue Earth, Minnesota. Sunny went to be with our heavenly father on Monday, March 20th, 2017 in Saint Paul, Minnesota. She worked for Burlington Northern Railroad, was an avid traveler, and a recognized artist. Sunny enjoyed golf and skiing most of her life, but was happiest during her many years in church ministry and sharing Jesus’ love. Sunny was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Luella Oachs; her sister-in-law, Anita Oachs; and her sisters in Christ, Jane Wason, Anne Carlsberg, and Shirley Flateau. She is survived by her brothers, Gerald Oachs and Ronald (Laura) Oachs; niece, Susan Hoefs; nephews, Chris Oachs, Michael Oachs, and Jonathan (Holly) Oachs; many great nieces and nephews; and longtime friend, Nancy Anderberg. Memorial service will be 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, April 29th, 2017 at North Heights Lutheran Church, 2701 Rice St, Roseville, Minnesota with visitation one hour prior. Interment at Roselawn Cemetery following the luncheon.
