Obituary of David Roger Strike

David Roger Strike, age 73 of St. Paul, passed away from heart failure on Tuesday, July 4, 2017. He was preceded in death by his Grandmother Emily F. (Sulzdorf) (Kelm) Staeheli, Father and Mother David L. and Eleanor (Kelm) Strike, Sister and Brother-in-law Jeanette M. (Strike) and Dean Blomster.

Born August 31, 1943 in St. Paul, Uncle Dave graduated from Harding Highschool in 1961. After Highschool he went to work at Seagram’s Beverage Company of St. Paul, then Miller, then St. Joseph’s hospital and finally at United hospital in St. Paul where he retired in 2009 after 42 years. David was a member of the Local 113 AFL-CIO, Hospital Union. His hobbies included, collecting model cars and movies and gaming.

David is survived by nieces Lynn (Blomster) Schultz (husband Tim Schultz) of Mahtomedi and Alison Blomster (wife Beth Nelson) of Minneapolis. Uncle Dave, we will miss your generous spirit.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 from 5:00-7:00pm at Anderson Funeral Home, 1401 Arcade Street, St. Paul, MN 55106. Memorial Services will be held Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at 11:00am; visitation one hour prior to service at Anderson Funeral Home. Internment at Union Cemetery, Mapelwood, MN following the service. Luncheon follows.In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to ASPCA, Alzheimer's Association of Minnesota or March of Dimes.
