Phyllis M. Dean

February 14, 1927 - September 17, 2018

Phyllis was truly a remarkable woman. She was kind, caring, gracious, always smiling and had a wonderful sense of humor. She loved her family and friends, her church where she taught Sunday school and Pioneer Girls, the color blue, the Minnesota Twins, vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce, entertaining, and traveling the world with her dear friends, Dot and Bea Swanson. Her legacy is the many lives she touched. She will be deeply missed. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie & Edward Dean; brothers, James Dean and Dale Tinkham; and sister, Shirley Evertz. She is survived by her favorite sister-in-law, Pat Tinkham; and many other loving relatives and dear friends.

Funeral services will be held at the First Evangelical Free Church, 2696 Hazelwood Street, Maplewood, Minnesota on Saturday, September 29^th, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Special thanks to the staff at New Harmony Care Center for the love and care they provided Phyllis over the past several years. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to New Harmony Care Center or the First Evangelical Free Church.
