Obituary of Mercedes E. Nelson

Mercedes E. Nelson, of Rice Lake, Wisconsin; formerly of Saint Paul, Minnesota, passed away on Tuesday, September 25th, 2018 at the age of 103. Mercedes was a member of Oriental Chapter 187, the Order of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband, Adolph; son, James; granddaughter, Jeanne; sister, Doreen Lynch; brothers, Iver Johnson, Everett, Harold, Donald, and Vernon Weser. Mercedes is survived by her daughter, Muriel (Wayne) Janitschke; grandsons, Chip (Cathy), Brian (Heidi); six great-grandchildren, Sarah Close, Lacey Ricker, Sydney and Cameron Janitschke, Christian and Catrina Janitschke; brother, Arthur Weser; and many nieces & nephews. Private interment was held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Maplewood, Minnesota. Memorials preferred to the Alzheimer's Association.
