Obituary of Joan Marie Anderson

Anderson, Joan Marie Joan died July 15, 2016 peacefully in her home at the age of 90. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Frank Anderson. She was all dressed up for the day, joyful and singing before she left this world. Joan was a true East Sider. She married Frank in 1964 and they lived in their North St Paul home for over 40 years. Her final years were spent in Onalaska, WI near her daughter Mary. Joan loved the Lord and cherished her family and community. She amazed us all with her cooking, baking and overwhelming gift of hospitality. She served in the church she loved, Trinity Baptist, both in the choir and the kitchen. She served meals to hundreds. She is known for being the chairman of the church cookbook that was reprinted numerous times. Joan loved her city of North Saint Paul where she served as the treasurer of the Historical Society. She had a passion for snowmen, birds and “coffee & a sweet roll”. Joan is survived by her daughters: Mary (Tim) Anderson of Onalaska, WI; Eva (Steven) Anderson of North Liberty, IA; Nancy (Randy) Hall of Arden Hills, MN; grandchildren: Natalie (Matt), Madeline, Kitty, Carli, Teddy, Grace, Janelle (Ben), Jolene (Mike), Julie (Brad), Kayla, Micah, Caleb, Ashton, Helena and Xander. A celebration of Joan’s life will be held at 11AM Tuesday, July 19 at Trinity Baptist Church 2220 Edgerton St. Maplewood, MN. Visitation at 9:30AM preceding the service. Burial following luncheon at Forest Lawn.
