Your father and grandfather was a stalwar usher for the second service at GA when I was serving there. But more than usher, he greeted everyone, and showed up even when he wasn't scheduled.
"Hey, Kiddo! How are you?" the best greeting my daughter received as a visitor to the church, and a welcome he extended to many.
The hospitality I have received from his children was learned from their dad. May your memories of his gentle love, faith, and welcoming spirit shine through you to others.
