Tharen B. “Snookey” Swanson, age 94, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 21, 2020 surrounded by family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gunnar; grandsons, Christopher, Shawn and Austin; and son-in-laws, Stephen Aguirre and Gene Keller. Tharen is survived by her children, Ann Marie Keller, Cheryl Resch (Ken Hagelberger), Susan Aguirre, Ellen Luehring (Scott Sicard), Richard “Rick” Swanson, and Terri Davis; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Tharen was a lifelong member of Gustavus Adolphus Lutheran Church.
Visitation is from 11:00am – 1:00pm on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at Anderson Funeral Home, 1401 Arcade Street (Hwy 61), Saint Paul, followed by a Graveside Service 1:30pm at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
