Obituary of Virginia M. Pierce

Virginia Marie Pierce (Wallraff), of Saint Paul, was born on June 13, 1924. She passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 31, 2020. She loved nature, walking in the woods, traveling with her daughters and spending time with her family. Virginia was preceded in death by her loving husband of 74 years, Harold; parents William & Ruth Wallraff; brothers, Bill, Dick, David and Tom; sisters, Jean, Lois, Ruth Mary, Edna and Joanne; and her grandson, Zack. She was very proud of her six children: Ned (Jill) Pierce, Bill (Nancy) Pierce, Mary Beth (Craig) Munger, Tom (Lynn) Pierce, Sue (LeRoy) Kronebusch and Amy Rostad. She enjoyed spending time with her 14 grandchildren: Katie Pierce, Justin (Meghan) Munger, Curt Munger, Scott (Jenny) Pierce, Brian Pierce, Troy Pierce, Ashley (Mike) Murphy, Jed (Shelly) Kronebusch, Isaiah (Erinn) Kronebusch, Emily (Ben) Helwig, Sean Rostad, Amanda (Shawn) Kronebusch, Allie Rostad and Mason Rostad. Virginia also had 17 great-grandchildren. The family wishes to thank the staff at New Perspective in Woodbury for the wonderful care they provided their mother during her stay there. There will be a Visitation at Transfiguration Catholic Church, 6133 15th Street N, Oakdale, Minnesota, on Monday, June 14, 2021, at 9:00 AM followed by Mass at 10:00 AM. The Burial will be on Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at 10:00 AM at Fort Snelling National Cemetery (Assembly Area #4), 7601 34th Avenue S, Minneapolis.
