James R. Swanson, died on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at age 83. He was preceded in death by his parents, Anna & Gustave; brothers, Robert, Warren, and Wayne; sisters, Mae Davidson, Delores Buzay, Donna Wegscheider, Evelyn Blyton, and Marge Schwartz. James is survived by his wife of 57 years, Patricia; daughters, Paige (James) Tarara and Jill Swanson; grandchildren, Alison (Connor) Ellingson, Megan Tarara, and Michael Tarara; and beloved dog, Murphy.
Visitation is from 5:00 – 7:00PM, with a Memorial Service to follow at 7:00PM, on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at Gustavus Adolphus Lutheran Church, 1669 Arcade Street (Hwy 61), Saint Paul. Private Interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials Preferred.
