Obituary of Darryl E. Swope

Darryl E. Swope, also known as “Heavy,” “Heavy D,” “Big D,” born in May of 1967 in Springfield, Illinois, passed away unexpectedly on January 18th, 2022 in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Darryl is survived by his wife, Kimberly; his children, Kendra, Jalin, Jasmine, and Darryl; stepchildren, Drew, Devon, and Dion; many grandchildren; sister, Verona; brothers, Willie Earl, Tim, and Leonard; and many other family members and friends. Darryl was a man of honor, loyalty, and most of all: love. The love he shared for his wife and the people in his life was undeniable. The loyalty and honor Darryl displayed to all who knew him will forever be remembered. He was an easy going, simple man who blessed everyone with his contagious smile, and who lived life on his own terms. Darryl was a man who was able to fill a room with laughter and will forever be missed. Visitation starting at 10:00am, with a Funeral Service at 12:00pm on Saturday, January 29th, 2022 at Anderson Funeral Home, 1401 Arcade Street (Hwy 61), Saint Paul, Minnesota. Small gathering will take place after the service at the Legion on Arcade Street.
