Obituary of Armando Vega Puente
Please share a memory of Armando to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Armando Vega Puente, Age 56 of Carrizo Springs, Texas, formerly of Saint Paul, Minnesota, passed away suddenly on March 8, 2022, at his home in San Marcos, Texas.
Mando grew up on the East Side of St. Paul, attending Econ Elementary, Cleveland Junior High and was a graduate of Johnson High School.
In his youth he played rec sports for El Rio Vista playground in West St. Paul and at LES, wrestled in his school years and was even an All-Conference Wrestler. Later in his adult life he returned to LES as a youth football coach. His passion for sports started at a young age and carried through in his adult life. He was always ready in “his” chair with his Homer Simpson boxers on to watch a wrestling match, football, baseball, or basketball game.
In 2006 he and his wife, Rose, moved to the warmth of San Marcos, Texas, where he worked for Caterpillar and where they planned on retiring in the home they built.
This past December he visited family for Christmas and his birthday. We feel so blessed to have been able to spend that time with him and are devastated by his untimely passing. We find comfort in knowing he is now at peace with God, and we will see him once again someday.
Mando was a loved husband, father, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend, and will be forever missed. He always had a calm spirit about him, filled with love and joy. He was so thoughtful, kind, funny, and caring. We miss him so much, but we find comfort in the memories we have.
We love you,
Rose & The Kids
