Obituary of Gladys Barrantes

Please share a memory of Gladys to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Gladys P Barrantes de Flores was born in San José, Costa Rica on June 29, 1928. After marrying her husband Orlando, they raised their family and enjoyed showering her family with love, as well as sewing, crocheting, cooking, baking, taking care of flowers and plants, reading and the family trips to the ocean. Nanita, as she was known by many, loved God, family and all people, especially children. She taught us how to live a life filled with joy, gratitude, forgiveness and faith. In her later years Gladys was committed to interceding for others and to encourage all those around her with prayers, smiles and loving hugs. Gladys has joined her husband, Jose Orlando Flores Mendez, her daughters Paola and Onyx, and her granddaughter Gladys Rebecca, in heaven. Her laughter, unconditional love and wisdom will be dearly missed by her children, Orlando (Elisa) Flores, Lourdes (Glen) Flores-Hanson, her grandchildren Pablo, Sirlene, Joshua, Jacob, Jordan, and her great grandchildren Jason, Ximena, Braden, Yerik and Naima, as well as extended family, friends and her church family. We thank God for the special honor of being a part of Nanita’s life. She was and will continue to be an important part of all our lives.
