Obituary of Randy W. Riddle
Please share a memory of Randy to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Randy Wayne Riddle, 68, passed away in Cottage Grove, MN on September 10th, 2022. He had fought a long and courageous battle against cancer. Randy was surrounded by loved ones when the Lord called him home and he is finally at peace.
Randy is the devoted husband of Debra J. Riddle for 33 years. Loving father to Tony Olson, Amanda Riddle, Rebecca (Richard) Morris, Malinda (Nick) Riddle, and Randy (Sidney) Riddle. Proud grandfather of Kaiden, Mason, Brandon, Bently, Deacon, Brynn, Abel and Carlee. He loved being “Papa” to all the littles and welcomed to the family graciously Jaida, Viola, Aria and Remington.
Randy enjoyed many things: Vikings football, playing golf, watching golf (for hours or days), old movies, bonfires, watching nature (especially his squirrels), a good rainstorm, listening to those good ole tunes, reading or listening to stories, playing cribbage, the marble game and he sure could come up with and appreciate a good joke. “Papa” had a special bond with each of the grandkids and embraced the moments and memories he created. From teaching the boys how to properly utilize the space between the garage and shed to endless love, support and compassion to all. He had a smile and laugh that nobody will forget. Randy leaves a void that cannot be filled but will be cherished forever. He will be greatly missed.
He leaves behind those mentioned above as well as siblings; Sharlene Armstrong, Kevin (Kim) Anderson, Bruce (Rhonda) Riddle, and Vicky Langenfeld. He is also survived by sister-in-law Susan (Gregg) Sutton, childhood best friend Edward (Shara) Olson along with many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents, Bruce Riddle and Virginia Anderson; siblings, Gilbert Boudreau, Linda Wiggam, Laura Riddle, Harold “Harry” Armstrong Jr. and Scott Anderson.
A Celebration of Life and Spaghetti Dinner Benefit is planned for 12pm-4pm on Saturday, October 8th, 2022 at 2nd Street Depot, 320 2nd St E, Hastings, MN 55033.
