Obituary of Les Cromey
Please share a memory of Les to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Les “The Boss” Cromey
Went to the big casino in the sky on March 10. A proud Rice Streeter, he graduated from Washington High School in 1964. A former sheetrocker turned owner and master cutter of Wind & Wood, #139. He was dealt a bad hand March 1983 but survived to turn it into a win. A high-spirited man, he always had a smart remark to make us laugh.
Les is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary, and three daughters, Tanya, Sara, and Laura (Rafael).
A big thank you to all who cared and gave Les courage over the years: Nancy and Ed, who gave Les a saw and a purpose; Dr. Corbett, Lori, Mary Jo; Sister Kenny pool crew, Patti, Ken, and Todd; Dr. Bower, Dr. Spiewak; his Allina team, Angie, Molly, Denise, Jane, Jon, and Lois; Molly and Fred for tech help; and finally, with special gratitude, Maldeberthe (Bett). Thank you to these and all others who touched his life. Thank you to the Lion's Club who got us a van for transportation and our crafts.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on April 1, 2023, with visitation starting at 9 a.m., Gustavus Adolphus Church, 1669 Arcade St. N., St. Paul 55106. Memorials preferred to Courage Center, Gustavus Adolphus Church, or Walk On Therapeutic Riding Program.
