Marcile I. Combs Obituary

Marcile I. Combs (Schwarting)

July 31, 1932 - April 25, 2023

Marcy passed away peacefully and went to be with the Lord on April 25th after a short illness. She had a wonderful life of 90 years. She was born in Aberdeen South Dakota, and lived in Bloomington, Burnsville, Nisswa, Apple Valley, Minnesota and Mesa Arizona. She was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Marie, sisters Alice, Inez, Artis, and Lorene, husband Harold Gene Combs, Dale Nathe, and good friend Ken Thury.

She is survived by son Merle, daughters Sherry (Jack) Hammerstrom and Cindy Becker, was “Nana” to grandchildren Garrett (Jennifer) Hammerstrom, Jeffery (Annamarie) Hammerstrom, Krista Becker and Sarah Becker, great-grandchlidren, Jacob, Cora, William and Susanna Hammerstrom and Ava and Emma Hammerstrom and also several nieces and nephews.

Marci was a “late age” graduate of the University of Minnesota with a Business Education degree and taught Model Office in the Chaska School District for many years. She was an enthusiastic and fun teacher and enjoyed her students very much.

She resided at the Apple Valley Villa for the last 12 years and was a very active, resilient woman involved in the Well Church choir, the Velvet Tones singing group, and Bridge groups. She was always the life of the party and loved her family and her Lord and Savior. She will be dearly missed.
