Obituary of Ardell Capuzzi

Ardell Capuzzi, nee Sebens, passed away on 5/5/23 at the age of 83. Preceded in death by parents, Hilko (Bill) and Mabel Sebens; brothers Mervin, Richard, Lauren and David; beloved husband Don, son Mark, and dear friend Pete Langeslay. Survived by son Jeff (Mary), daughters Kathy (Steve) and Jody, 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Ardell was born on April 10, 1940 on a farm in Milnor, North Dakota. Her family moved to Cumberland, Wisconsin in1951. Ardell graduated from Cumberland High School in 1958, enjoying life long friendships with her classmates. Ardell married Don Capuzzi in 1959 and moved to Saint Paul, Minnesota. Ardell was an in-home child care provider until 1980, when Don passed away. She worked temporary administrative assignments until being hired permanently by 3M Legal, where she worked until her retirement in 2002. During her retirement, Ardell wintered in Mesa Arizona. Ardell was an active volunteer with 3Mgives, receiving the 3M Community Volunteer Award in 2011. She was an active member of the Saint Paul East Side Lions Club for 20 years. Ardell enjoyed time with family and friends. She often said the best decision she ever made was to host biweekly family gatherings during summers in Minnesota. She was an avid reader and passionate traveler. She particularly enjoyed touring with the Church of Saint Peter Pilgrims, visiting Ireland, the Holy Land and Rome. She especially enjoyed visiting Paris and London with girlfriends, "The Minnesota Babes." A favorite travel memory was visiting Europe with daughter, Kathy and walking through the Alps. It was Ardell's sincere wish that she be remembered with love and humor and that you will be brave enough to share your memories of her at her memorial on Thursday, May 11th at 11AM at the Church of St. Peter, 2600 Margaret St. N., North Saint Paul. Visitation at church 1 hour prior to the service. Interment will be same day at 3PM at St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery in Cumberland, WI.
