Obituary of Marcella Koneczny (Sauka)

Age 101 of St. Paul, passed away on June 29th, 2023. Marcy is preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Leonard, parents William and Stella Sauka, sister Leona, and brother Bill. Marcy is survived by daughter Margie and son Steve (Lori), grandchildren, Jenna (Paul) Dwyer, Brian (Gina) and Jason (Chelsea), great grandchildren Will, Judah, Lydia Dwyer and Conner Koneczny, sister-in-law Eleanor White, and many cherished nieces and nephews. Marcy was born in St. Paul, MN, graduated Johnson High School, married Len in 1951. She was a lifelong member of St. Casimir’s parish, the Altar and Rosary Society, the Polish American Club and the Ladies Auxiliary V.F.W. Marcy loved life and especially her family. She was an extraordinary woman who led an ordinary life and we will miss her beyond measure. Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am on Wednesday July 12th at St. Casimir’s Church 934, Geranium Ave E. St. Paul. Visitation 1 hour prior to Mass. Brunch to follow in the school hall. Interment at Fort Snelling at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials to donor’s choice.
