Loving Wife and Mother Extraordinaire, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister and Friend
Born December 28, 1933. Went home to be with her Lord in Heaven on, July 5, 2023. Was born, in, Kingsport, TN, the second of 6 children to Patrick and Venus Lowe. She moved with her parents to Des Moines, IA in 1941. Preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Harold Lowe (died at infancy), Tommy Lowe, sister Janis Thomas, Brothers in law Tommy Thomas, James and David Fackler, Sister in law Carol Fackler. Survived by loving husband Don, sons, Dan (Nancy), Rick (Carol), daughter Kay Dornfeld (Kurt) and special grandson John, five grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, sisters, Anna Meyers and Patricia Fackler, and several nieces and nephews. She attended D.M. tech high school where she was active in the band as a majorette, where she met her future husband. She married the love of her life on August 5, 1953 (70 years). She was skilled in the crafts, of Quilting and Hardanger. Past member of Rio Valley Quilters and Minnesota Quilters. She was instrumental in organizing the Weslaco Heritage Quilt guild. Retired after 16 years from St. Paul school district 625. Spent her winters in Weslaco TX for 25 years. She attended First Evangelical Free Church of Maplewood.
Funeral Service 11AM, Wednesday July 12, at First Evangelical Free Church, 2696 Hazlewood St., Maplewood. Visitation at 10AM. Private Interment Union Cemetery. Memorials to First Evangelical Free Church Youth Ministry.
