Aged 97, passed away on Aug. 23, 2023.

She was preceded in death by husband Warren, brother Robert Armstrong, mother Alice Hamm, father Adrian Armstrong, son-in-law Tom Miller, and stepdad Glenn Hamm.

Survived by daughter Crystal (Chris) Miller, son Robert (Bob), 5 granddaughters; Kari (Andres Paredes) Miller, Amy (Brian) Parmley, Jennie (Tom) DeLisle, Kim (Joe) Hammond, Kristin (Bobby) Gotch, and 10 great-grandchildren; Agustin, Nico, Hannah, Hailey, Davis, Charlie, Reagan, Audrey, Jacob, and Dylan, nieces and nephews, numerous friends (many from Trinity Baptist) and neighbors, ex son-in-law Dan Miller, and very special friend MaryLee Abrams.

Doris was a seamstress, artist, and author. She wrote 5 novels later in life and was very proud of that accomplishment. She was a kind, sweet, gentle soul with a heart full of love for family and friends. She had a strong faith. She allowed her house to be strewn with toys because we babysat the youngest great grandkids a couple days a week at “Grandma B’s Daycare.” She loved that she was able to bond with the “littles.”

A celebration of Doris’ life will be held on Sept. 5, 2023 at Anderson Funeral Home – 1401 N. Arcade St., Saint Paul, MN 55106. Visitation 2-4PM, Service 4PM, and luncheon afterwards.
