Richard was a great friend. He helped me when I started in AFDC in 1979 and we were friends every year since then. We played golf together went to Twins game in the noon games for Dad’s Day out. I always gave him Gopher tickets for him and his son to the Ragun Cajuns games. When I moved to Arizona we texted every day about the Twins Gophers and Vikings. Plus he became a fan with the Arizona Wildcats and Diamondbacks. Now I wish he was here to see the Diamondbacks in the World Series. We shared a love of sports and will be missed by all.

Richard was brought into our group of friends from Beardsley many years ago. He was a fun and engaging person to know. Although I didn’t have many opportunities to spend time with him in recent years, just the mention of his name would bring up memories of his smile and laugh. My deepest condolences to his family and friends. He will be missed. Rock on Richard, rock on! Watson

Richard and I meet when took the test for Hennepin County Welfare we started the same day and became instant friends. We became roommates whin a week a nd moved into an upstairs apt in North East Mpls we lived there for a coupe years until he built a home in Brooklyn Park I was driving over the road and out the kindness of his hart he moved me into his basement . I I lived there with him and his family. We remained friends forever. He will be remembered for is since of Humor and loyalty to his many friends and family farewell my friend you will be missed greatly.
