Obituary of Karen Mae Nelson

Karen M. Nelson died peacefully on October 19th, 2023 at the age of 77. Karen was born in St. Paul, MN to Les and Dorothy Nelson. Karen worked for the State of Minnesota her entire career until she retired as the Business Manager for the Minnesota Conservation Corp. Karen was devoted to her family and her faith. She volunteered for many organizations and loved to travel. She was preceded in death by her parents Leslie & Dorothy Nelson, and her brother and sister-in-law Leslie & Marilyn Nelson and her niece Linda Nelson (Chuck). Survived by her nephews and nieces, Chuck Nelson, Joe Nelson (Cherie), Denise Nelson (Ed) and Jeri Boomgaarden (Tony). Services will be held at Anderson Funeral Home, 1401 Arcade Street in St. Paul on Thursday, October 26th Visitation at 10:00 AM and the funeral at 12:00 PM with the burial to follow at Union Cemetery.
