Lupe Sanchez, 101, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by loved ones on April 3rd 2024. She is preceded in death by her husband James Sanchez, Her daughter Cecilia Sanchez and her sisters Ruby, Cecilia, Raphaela & Mary, as well as brothers Richard & James. Lupe was born to Dominga and Santiago Cortez on October 31st 1922 in Tulsa Oklahoma.

Lupe was an avid gardener, tending to her many flower gardens. Lupe found joy volunteering in her church community and she was a 50 plus years dedicated member of the First Baptist Church in St. Paul, MN.

She is survived by her son Robert Sanchez, granddaughters Marla Manypenny (Aaron), Jennifer Roberts (Lucas), great-granddaughter Dahlia Gibson and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Lupe's life will take place at Anderson Funeral Home in St. Paul, MN, starting at 11 am on April 10th, 2024. This will be followed by a service at noon, followed by a internment at union cemetery at 1:15 pm. A light lunch will be served afterward at First Baptist Church.
