Virginia Carolyn Olson, age 94, of Saint Paul, Minnesota passed away on July 8, 2024.

She was preceded in death by parents, Edward Rejbein and Velma (Ramberg); Husband Harold Olson; and daughter Linda Helgeson (Olson).

She is survived by her daughter Roxanne Balkenol (Russell); Son Edward Olson; Grandchildren, Nicholas Balkenol, Johnathon Balkenol (Hewan), Chris Helgeson (Jill), Tricia Stark (Marcus); Great-grandchildren, Landon Helgeson, Walter Stark, Eva Balkenol, Ethan Balkenol.

In 1950, Virginia married the love of her life Harold Olson and they remained together until his death in May of 2011. Virginia was a well-known and well-liked businesswoman of St. Paul’s east side where she managed several properties that she and her husband owned. In 1963, Virginia and Harold moved into their dream house that they built themselves and she remained in that house until her untimely passing. In the early 70’s Virginia opened Olson’s Dairy store at the corner of Payne Ave. and Cottage St. and ran that business for about five years. Virginia was always a very kind and generous woman for all those who were lucky enough to know her. For her family, relatives and friends that knew her best, our lives will forever be changed by the passing of such a beautiful and precious soul, and we will her forever.

A visitation will be held at Eagle Brook Church at 2220 Edgerton St. in Maplewood, MN on July 18th from 10:30-11AM, service from 11AM-12PM, and burial at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Maplewood immediately following.
