James Cuzner Broten

Age 96, of Little Canada

Jim was born on March 19, 1928 and passed into the arms of Jesus on July 14, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents Alfred and Dorothy (Cuzner) Broten and brothers Paul and Ralph. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years Edith, daughters Martha (Gary) Crawmer, Becky (Blane) White, sister-in-law Janice Broten, grandchildren Laura Muellner, Eric (Chasity) Muellner, Linnea (Aaron) Geddes, Danica White, and Marita White. Jim was born and raised in Minneapolis, and moved to Little Canada upon his marriage to Edith in 1956. He was a long-time member of Maplewood Covenant Church, where he served as choir director and in other leadership roles. Jim was a civil engineer and was employed by TKDA for most of his career.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 27 at Roseville Covenant Church, 2865 Hamline Ave N.
