Obituary of Eric James DeTuncq

Eric James DeTuncq, 71, of St. Paul, passed away at home on August 4, 2024. He was born on August 11, 1952 to Ann and Wayne DeTuncq in Des Moines, Iowa and was raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Eric graduated from Robbinsdale High School in 1970. He attended Hennepin Technical College and later, Century College. He married Linda Dugan on July 22, 1978 and they had 2 children, Melissa and Sara. Eric worked as a computer operator for Control Data and the State of MN. He held various other positions until he was no longer able to work. He enjoyed riding his bike and motorcycle, liked music, building model trains and visiting the North Shore. He was also involved with his church. Over the course of his life, he volunteered with Meals on Wheels, Merrick Community Services and the Twin City Model Railroad Museum. Eric is survived by his mother Ann, siblings Beth, Kim, Noelle (Soulheris) and Brooks, daughters Melissa and Sara. He was preceded in death by his father Wayne and sister Leslie (Long). Funeral services will be held at Anderson Funeral Home on August 21, 2024 at 1:00 pm. Interment to follow at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Memorials or donations may be made to NAMI
