Passed peacefully on December 22, 2013. Age 87, of White Bear Lake. Preceded in death by parents, Philip and Velda. Raised in Coral Gables, FL, graduating from Ponce de Leon High in '44, the University of Miami 1952, and M.B.A from Harvard in 1954. Dennis had a varied career in music, newspapering and business. In retirement, he spent a dozen years volunteering at Hazelden, following his own rehabilitation. Survived by his wife of 64 years, Carolyn (nee Tapley); son David (Beth); daughter Joyce Allison (Dave Gjerde); brother Philip; granddaughters Rain and Ambria. In gratitude for care at Regina Assisted Living and Allina Hospice. Memorials preferred to Parkview UCC, Allina Hospice of St. Paul or donor's choice.
