Bela Horvath Obituary

Born in Hungary 3/28/1933. Emigrated to the U.S. in 1957. Passed away peacefully in his sleep 12/29/2013. Preceded in death by his parents and siblings, all of Hungary. Survived by wife Barbara; children Martha (Michael) Slater, Eva (Craig) Novaczyk, Clyde Thomson, Thomas Horvath (Cathy Lanum), Susan Peterson & Sara Gilberg; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Bela was an avid story teller and brought laughter to many. He always enjoyed a friendly game of poker, cribbage or dice. He loved spending time at the cabin fishing, hunting or just visiting. He worked as a welder at Graco, Inc. until he retired. He was a proud member of the Minnesota Hungarians and attended many events. He enjoyed several trips to Hungary over the years and visited with many relatives and friends. He was an accomplished soccer player and coach, and enjoyed watching all sports. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was happiest when surrounded by others. Memorials preferred.
