Howard Monroe Anderson passed in his sleep at home. Howard was born on May 30, 1920 in Kensington, MN to August E. Anderson and Marie Wetterling Anderson. He was baptized and confirmed at the Pike Lake Covenant Church. He was a graduate of Kensington High School and the Minneapolis School of Business. Howard served in WWII as a Corporal under General George Patton. He married the love of his life, Kathryn J. Konzen on September 22, 1946. They were an example of true love for their 67 years together. Howard worked as a parts manager at Chevrolet dealerships in MN & WI. He retired in 1987. Howard was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the Scottish Rite. Howard enjoyed gardening, camping, hunting, traveling and spending time with his family. He was a talented craftsman with an artistic gift for making imaginative children's toys, tools and furniture. He is survived by his beloved wife, Kathryn; sons, Stephen (Jeanne), Richard (Janet), Kurt (Jeanne); grandchildren, Alyssa, Kelly, Leif & Amelia; and great-grandchildren, Jasper, Iris & Ava. A memorial service will be held in his honor on Thursday, August 7th at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of GUSTAVUS ADOLPHUS LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1669 Arcade St (Hwy 61), St. Paul, MN.
