Passed suddenly. Preceded in death by his parents, 8 siblings and grandson, Austin. Survived by his wife of 48 years, Ann Marie (Swanson); daughters, Lori (Kurt) Klemz, Becky (Shane) Copeland-Siems; grandchildren, Alex (Drew) Dubra, Andrew (Adrian) Klemz, Matthew Keller and Tiffany Keller; great-granddaughter Becca; mother-in-law, Tharen Swanson; brothers and sisters-in-law; many nieces and nephews. He was 44-year member of Cement Masons Local 633. Gene loved his Hershey bars, watching football and MASH reruns. He loved his beer and he loved his country music. Garth and Elvis were his favorite. He enjoyed collecting model cars, tinkering around on outside projects and passing time with friends at Parkway Barbers. Above all he had a love for family. He was a kind, generous, gentle, loving man with a big heart and a weakness to never say no. He never asked for anything, he was always a giver. Always put others ahead of himself. He was known for his sense of humor that never shut off, he always has a one liner on stand by ready to go. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Visitation and funeral services to be held at Anderson Funeral Home, 1401 Arcade St (Hwy 61), St. Paul, MN. Visitation Sunday, Nov. 30th 1-4. Funeral 11am Monday, Dec. 1 with visitation 1 hour prior.
