Obituary of Delores Westin

Longtime White Bear Lake resident. Born Dolores Marion Swanson, was raised in St. Paul. Love was her way: love for life and her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ led to a fulfilling 46-year marriage with Harold J. Westin and a strong family; love: for her communities, Arlington Hills Lutheran Church, and many abiding friendships. Dolores faced joy and loss, including that of her beloved Harold (1989) and their infant son (1956), with the same constant grace, wisdom, and strength. An accomplished artist, Dolores studied fashion and portrait art. To her last days, she loved to sing and play the piano. Her love, grace, art, music, joy, humor, strength, and kindness survived in daughters DeeAnne (Dr. Robert) Nelson, Cynthia Johnson, Rosemary (John) McCall, and Amy Jo (Mark) Adams-Westin, 9 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. Visitation Sun, Dec. 21 from 3:00-6:00 PM at ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME, 1401 Arcade St (Hwy 61), St. Paul. Funeral Service Mon, Dec. 22 at 1:00 PM at ARLINGTON HILLS LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1115 Greenbrier St, St. Paul, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Maplewood.
