Obituary of Eric K. DeVahl

Beloved Husband, Father & Grandfather - Age 89 Passed away on July 27, 2015. Eric lived on St. Paul’s east side his entire life. He was an active lifelong member of Gustavus Adolphus Lutheran Church. He served as a Marine in World War II from 1943-1946 in the South Pacific and China. In 1952 he married Marylu Johnson. His occupation was sales, specializing in cutting and welding equipment. He was an avid golfer, frequenting Keller Golf Course. He loved to spend time with family at their lake cabin near Cross Lake, MN. A celebration of Eric’s life will be held on the day of his 90th birthday, August 4, 2015 at 1:00 pm at GUSTAVUS ADOLPHUS LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1669 Arcade St. (Hwy 61), St. Paul, 55106. Memorials preferred to Gustavus Adolphus Lutheran Church or Honor Flight Network (honorflight.org). Preceded in death by brother, Oscar. Survived by wife, Marylu; son, Robert (Julie); daughters, Jane (Michael) Moschel & Mary DeVahl; grandchildren, Dannae, Kristin, Kevin & Kayla; sister, Elsie Reichel.
