Passed away peacefully of brain cancer on Sunday, Nov. 8th surrounded by loving family and friends. Nick graduated from North St. Paul High School in 2009 and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from University of WI-Eau Claire in 2014. He enjoyed hockey, fantasy football, hunting, fishing, blackjack, country music and his friends from Horan Hall. Nick is preceded in death by grandmother, Connie Flaherty; aunt, Debbie; and great-grandparents, Jerry, Lorraine, Dorothy & Wanda. He is survived by parents, Lynn (Mike) Folkerts; siblings, Samantha (Ryan), Tony & Jessica; special friend, Hilary Murphy; grandparents, Jim & Carole Folkerts and Curt & Marilyn Lindberg; great-grandfather, Les Folkerts; many aunts, uncles, cousins & friends. Visitation from 2-4 PM with a Memorial Service at 4 PM on Sunday, November 15 at ST. PATRICK'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 3535 72nd St E, Inver Grove Heights. Memorials preferred to the family to be donated in his name.
