My thoughts and prayers are with Millie’s family and friends. Millie will always be one of my heroes. The first four years of my math and computer science teaching career (1979 – 1983) were happily spent at Plymouth High School with Millie as my wise and wonderful mentor. Seniors would arrive at my computer programming class still talking about the challenging problems on Mrs. Gausman’s Calculus test! She was an inspiration to all her colleagues and students, but especially to young women - even if she was too humble to admit that she was a pioneer and a role model for all of us!
