Obituary of Delores H. Frohriep

Age 89 of Maplewood, Minnesota. Passed away peacefully on July 29, 2016. Celebration of Life Service 11:00AM Friday, August 5 at FIRST LUTHERAN CHURCH, 4000 Linden Street, White Bear Lake with a visitation one hour prior. A luncheon will immediately follow the service. Private interment. Dee was born in St Paul on August 13, 1926 and graduated from Johnson High School in 1944. She married the love of her life in 1953 and began raising a family. Dee then built a career over the course of two and a half decades in the business offices of Miller and later United Hospitals of St. Paul. Following retirement, she continued at the hospital as a volunteer with the Pastoral Staff for several years. She enjoyed travel, reading, playing cards, watching Vikings football, and listening to music. Dee is survived by her daughter, Jodee (Steven) Glenna of Lake City; son, Herbert Jr. of Maplewood; son William of Forest Lake; sister Elaine MacDonald of St. Croix Falls; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Herbert Frohriep Sr.; brother Henry Dege; sister Florence Collins; sister Helen Swanson; sister Bernice Mutchler; sister Eleanor Tasker; and sister June Swanson. Memorials preferred to Ebenezer, Meadows on Fairview, Wyoming MN or Fairview Hospice. The family wishes to extend their deep gratitude to the staff at Meadows on Fairview who patiently and lovingly cared for our Mom over the last few years of her life, enjoyed her quick wit, and helped Dee maintain her "style."
