I am so sorry for your loss. I can't help but think that when God chose Jesus, his closest, beloved Son to die on our behalf, it was not by chance. God can truly say that he knows how we feel. Thus, the words at 1 Corinthians 1:3 take on deeper meaning when it calls Him "the God of all comfort". We pray for God's will to be done on EARTH as it is in heaven: When that time comes how joyous it will be to see the changes. Revelation 21:3,4 says that even 'pain, sorrow and death' will be gone. Then the promise at John 5:28,29 will follow. Just as Jesus resurrected his friend Lazarus and reunited him with his sisters and friends, so our loved ones whom we have lost in death will be resurrected and reunited with us. God's purposes for us are soon to be realized. May these scriptures and the memories of your loved one bring you peace and comfort.
