Auntie Joanne was a beautiful person, inside and out.
She was the perfect Aunt.
Growing up I was always so excited when she and Uncle Jack were coming to visit.
Way back when airports still let you greet people at the gate, there would be so many of us waiting for them at Logan. Nana, my Uncles, Aunts, and my cousins. Then we would all go to the North End in Boston and eat at The European. Sometimes twenty of us.
I was also lucky enough to be Nana's travel companion out to Minnesota and spend almost two weeks there visiting. I remember going walking with Aunt Joanne and her friend while i was there. I was probably 12 and couldnt keep up, i had to almost jog to stay close enough.
I had always been interested in genealogy and she was the family expert. I learned so much about our family from her. In high school I had to do a family tree type of project and she would help me over the phone and mail me copies of pictures or documents. My project had the most branches lol.
I am thankful to have those wonderful memories.
Love you Auntie Joanne ♡

Kelley, Bob, David, Kacie and Zach:
Words of sympathy to you during this time of sorrow seem so small, even insignificant when thinking of Joanne. Her artistry, her support during difficult times are memories you hold forever and will comfort you during future struggles, especially when remembering the missing loved ones who have left us. The hole created in our hearts will eventually be filled with positive and realistic feelings of our youth. May the grief you feel now, pass quickly with the knowledge that friends and key family members support you during this time of sorrow.
