My dear sister Ruby I'll miss you dearly. I have wonderful memories of times spend with you. Visiting you in the states... renting bicycles here and riding together to Cabot Street. It cost 10 cents for 1/2 hour or 25 cents for 1 hour. You taught me to sew, a skill which I used often and passed on to my own children.
You weren't only my big sister but my friend whom I loved dearly.

Aunt Ruby, When I think of you I picture your smile...what a smile you had!
I remember your family visiting us in Newfoundland, Canada years back and the excitement from Mom (Millie) knowing her big sister was coming all the way back to Newfoundland for a visit. Mom always spoke so affectionalely of her big sister Ruby, sharing many memories over the years of Ruby teaching her to sew, of them both renting a bicycle for 10 cents and riding all over St. John's, and so many other fond times they had together.
Aunt Ruby visited us here in Ontario after we moved from NL...it was always a pleasure to see her. Ken and I had the privilege of visiting Aunt Ruby in MN July 2012 when we were lucky enough to help her celebrate her 90th birthday along with Ruby, John and David. She knew me right away as Millie's girl Linda.
Florence, John, David, Roland and Donald, our condolences to you on the loss of your mother. She was a very strong and dear woman. Florence I can only imagine the loss you and David feel having spent so much time with her. You were surely your Mom's Florence Nightingale, taking care of her to the end. So glad you were with her in her last moments.
You are all in our prayers and in our hearts.
