Darryle Stephen Reitan, 71, joined the Lord in Heaven on May 7, 2013 at St.Joseph's Hospital in St.Paul, MN surrounded by his family members. He was born to Irene and Conrad Reitan of Hinckley, MN where he graduated high school; then joined the Air Force and traveled to Japan. Darryle appreciated the finer, simpler life of reading, fishing, camping and stays at the cabin. He enjoyed playing cards, music, baseball, football, the ocean, animals, and traveling. Darryle had a contagious laugh and fun sense of humor; a warm and generous love for family, friends and others. He is preceded in death by parents Irene & Conrad Reitan, brother Konrad Reitan and cousin Barry Williams. He is survived in life by daughter, Jill Reitan, Antioch, CA, his godmother, Aunt Eleanor Williams, Las Vegas, NV, sisters Sharyn Maloney, Ashland, WI, Sharlene Spangler, Hinckley, MN, Candice (Rick) Shutz, St Paul, MN, brothers Gary (Cathy) Reitan, Monticello, MN, Greg Reitan, Pine City, MN; godchildren nieces, Tamara Maloney, Rutledge, MN, Jennifer Lacey, Pine City, MN and nephews, Steve Reitan, St.Cloud, MN, Tim Morbeto, St Peters, MO; 8 nephews and 9 nieces, and many loving cousins and lifelong friends.
